Purchase fog light switch

Does anybody know where I can purchase a foglight switch. I called my closest mini dealer, and they said it was $200, that's insane. Does anybody know where I can get a switch for a reasonable price?

Thanks

$200 because those are not just standard toggle switches. The whole panel is just a membrane type switch and you can't just drill a hole and stick a switch in. The whole thing is replaced to add a switch. Bummer.

If you are just filling blanks, single toggles can be had. They come up here from time to time. I got one from someone here. I've heard some people find them at junk yards. Or you can usually find a bank that someone replaced for around $30-$50, and just pull the toggles from it.

There is a forum on rear fog lights/install. There are several posts indicating parts cost for toggle/switch cover, housings, etc.

Whoa whoa....if you just need the whole toggle panel, it's like $75 and you can install it yourself. I did mine last summer to get a functioning rear fog toggle to work my driving lights.

I got mine from Classic MINI. The part was originally like $75, then there was a 10 or 15% NAM discount, and after shipping it was back up to around $75. www.driveclassicmini.com is the website and there is a form, or the number to call is on the site. Ask for the parts department and they'll hook you up.

$200 is ridiculous, I'm assuming that must include labor. I installed mine myself in under 15 minutes, and I'm no mechanic.

If you have a local junk yard it could be cheaper. But then there is the hassle of seeing whether a MINI shows up there or not. I would just try one of the links that other people have posted here. That's what I would do. $200 sounds like overkill to me too.

I have a switch housing assy without the rear fog that I would be willing to make a donor if anyone wants the individual switches. Shoot me a PM.
