I'm so embarrassed...

As everyone knows, I'm getting rid of my Hot Orange '05. I found and put a deposit on an '06 Gray S convertible with 10K miles in flawless condition.

I haven't received the car yet and it looks like I'm going to have to wait 2-3 weeks until the Capital One check clears BMW financing.

Anywaaaay, the car is a beautiful gray color and I thought it was Royal Gray. Since I don't have anything to compare it, I was only looking at pics.

I even went so far as to add it to my signature. Today, I was talking to a guy in a parts department and after running my Vin number, it turns out the color is Dark Silver metallic.... not Royal Gray.

Not a big deal but I feel like such a newbie.

But who cares, I'll have a mini....WOOHOO.... I can't wait.

Mark

That will be a sweet color to have! Especially if you are willing to do an aftermarket wheel, I think a hyperblack or gunsmoke would look amazing! Good luck!

You are so excited you don't care, you just want your car.

Dark Silver is good.

Probably one of the nicest colors for the MINI.

Yeah but the bank is making me jump through too many hoops. I got a loan in less than 5 minutes through Capital One last week for the Hot Orange mini.

This week they've changed the rules.... Now I'm really having to jump through hoops. Arggghh.

Yup, I ordered both of these wheels this morning except in black. I'll see which one looks better on the car.

Its ok. When I first picked up my car the dealer told me it was 'Thunder Blue Metallic'. After two hours of searching with no avail and wondering why I was the only one with this "special" color...I figured it out.....
