After you get the part names/numbers from realoem.com, call the parts department at MINI of Peabody (in Massachusetts). These guys seem to go out of their way to help. When I had my first oil-change done (by a local "mechanic"), the nit-wit cross-threaded and cracked the oil-filter housing cup.
After I explained what happened and what I needed, they came up with the part for me in a hurry.
They do a fair amount of internet sales, so give them a shot.
VERY good guys.

this is actually scary. i wouldnt even start the car if i were you, and i would document this well. under no circumstances should any oil change shop have given you a car back with a low oil pressure warning light after they worked their magic.

i hope you made them aware of their mishap and are making them pay for the part, or any other related oil starved engine damage that may occur!

this is why i dont let anyone change the oil on my cars but me.

I second this. I used to work in an office where I took in fleet cars for oil changes, and they ALWAYS checked the low pressure light before allowing me to drive away. If they let you roll off the lot with the light on, then they didn;t check it. Didn't YOU? I personally would have refused to leavethe premesis with the light on, and I'd not drive the car with it showing.

ya i checked it b4 i left...the problem is it only shows low oil once the car has warmed for about 15 minutes or so and only does it again once the car is topped at light.
