Mini SP 500 replica

Check that site out. It is the 499th Mini of the 500. I think that is the style that you are looking for. Are you looking to make a replica out of a standard Mini or are you looking to to a tag swap to a SP 500?
Do you already have a Mini?

why not buy the one we have.
We have a sportpack replica. A 1970s mini (NO, not a revin a real 70s mini) that has had the sportpack treatment done, See www.westpaminis.com notice the lower price at the base of the advert.
to properly replicate a late mini would be excessively expensive.
Imagine that the last parts for these cars were on the year 2000 (last true year of production although some were 2001s of which I had one) and as the company was bought out they don't have to make parts as other manufacturers do a period of time and you realize how rare the bits are.
A full leather sportpack interior of which I have not seen one for sale for several years would be easily 800-1200 quid, That and it would be at least 8 years old (read: bit worn) The wheels and arches are still available new, The dash would be tough but not impossible to find, I had a complete alloy rover turned alloy one with all gauges would not have taken less than 1200 US for it, so thats an idea, A walnut one would be a bit cheaper. The main problem is that there seems to be a very strong few folks that get first dibs on all wrecked sportpacks, you almost never see anyone but these few folks parting them out. One only does collection at his house and the other is quite expensive.
It depends how far you want to go for the look, it might be on the wrong side of the law but if you want to go whole hog then you might as well buy a revinned late model and get all the bits in one go.
