Just had a thought, a swap meet might be a cool thing to have at MOTD.An area where we could buy,sell or swap used parts to fellow Mini motorers,i know we all have some parts and pieces from mods we've done or neat items we've found or cool little inventions we've made. I know i have some items i no longer need or don't plan on using.Anyway,i know its possibly too late to do this year,but it was just something i thought might interest fellow modders and motorers.

 

That's a pretty cool idea, I know I have some stuff that's just hanging around that someone else might like to buy for their MINI or MINI collection.

 

I know Way Motor Works did something like this last year...not speaking for Way-he might be planning to repeat it again this year.

 

Waylon does that for free if you check his vendor thread you'll see the info. Used/ not needed parts table was a big hit last year!

 

I checked Way's site and saw several used parts for sale but maybe i missed something,i was referring to individuals buying,selling or swapping parts or do you give them to Way and he sells them?Sorry, i am confused by what you said.

Way offers a table for used parts. Here's how it works:

You get a slip to put the part info on along with your name, how much you are asking for the part. Put the part on the table and if someone wants it they give the $$ to Way or one of his workers. You come and pick up your $$ sometime during the day if your part has sold. This way you don't have to be there all day. The only thing Way asks is that at the end of the day you come and pick up your things if they haven't sold.

He doesn't charge anything for you to do this. It's a pretty good thing if you are wanting to get rid of unwanted parts you have. Hope this helps explain it a bit better for you.

Way's been in Las Vegas all week. I'm sure he will update everyone here when he returns to Indianapolis this week. His table is a really great opportunity for people to rid themselves of still-good items they no longer use [but that someone else might want...and for a decent price]. I know I have an item I'll be bringing to the table, as I was VERY happy to have found new homes for some parts last year!
