Windshield wiper arm.

Am tired of looking for the answer to this, probably dumb question.

Why do some Mini's have a yellow/orange bulb on the end of their wiper levers and others do not?

Thanks~

The red one is for the OEM alarm system. I believe is glows red when armed. That set up is really made for the right-hand drive cars since the wiper stalk would be right next to the driver's side window where it's easily seen.

Then for the 2005-2006 models, the tips of all the wiper stalks got a low washer fluid indicator light which is yellow. So, if you get the OEM alarm for the 2005-2006 models the indicator light moves to the tip of the turn signal stalk.

So on left-hand drive models, the alarm light would be easily seen from the driver's side window on the 2005-2006 models. Then on the right-hand drive 2005-2006 models, the yellow low fluid level light would be seen from the driver's side window and the alarm light would be seen from the passenger side.

Hope I didn't confuse you too much

I never knew that. Good to finally know what the yellow was for.
