I checked out your site and the rally looks pretty neat. I've got some dumb questions though. You have marker points along the way. What do you at each of the points? Are you supposed to take a picture of yourself there, mark a waypoint on a gps? Explain how it works. I think I'm missing something.
Nice route btw, Little Tijunga is one of my all time favorite motorcycling roads...and I've hit thousands in this state.

Los Angeles Rally Question Answered
Thanks for checking in with a good question, it will help me with others that my have the same inquiry. The marker instructions along the course are kept secrete until you personally check in on rally day. At that time you will receive your rally packet with most of the marker instructions & other material (on our website see “Our Stuff > “Rally Rules” for more info).
Your and your driving partner (co-pilot or navigator) should have at least 30-mintues to go over the instructions & figure out a game plan before the rally starts. If you show up early you will have more time to review. NOTE: You can participate solo if you want, but I think it’s safer & more enjoyable with a buddy next to you.
Each marker instruction can be things like get an address or color of a building, count something or do something with other Mini participants at the marker. Each marker instructions are set-up to be straightforward as possible & some instructions will be at the marker location its self & not on the instruction sheet.
In reference to GPS receivers; a marker or two may have GPS location coordinates already included in the course instructions. But GPS receivers are not required to run the rally course. You can take pictures safely of anything you want during the day of the rally but are not required for score card verification.
So it’s kind of like a treasure hunt at each marker, this way it makes the Course Marker Rally more fun! At each marker you write down items the items on your score card. When you get back to the rally Finish-Line your score card answers are verified & the participants with most correct answers and with least amount of mileage will be the winners.
The MMCR website FAQ page will be up-dated with more accurate information if required, based on how many questions we receive. www.montroseminicooperrallies.org/faq_main.html
I trust this information helps answer your question. Go ahead and sign-up, we have the registration page working today Sunday the 23rd. Hope you will volunteer to help out also, just check the boxes (on the registration page) you feel you can help with.
I am not asking for any money to make the rallies happen because I am relying on volunteer help. Pass on the word about Montrose Mini Cooper Rallies 1st Supper Spring Rally… Rally On!
