cruise control w/o MFSW?

hi - new here, just got approved for financing this am (credit union online, 4.5%) and am shopping around for the best deal right now via email.

one thing thing that is unclear from miniusa.com - does the clubman come standard with cruise control or do I have to order the mfsw to get it?

thanks

Howdy!
Cruise is part of the multifunction steering wheel, which you can get by itself outside of a package.

No it is not standard. You need to order the Multifunction steering wheel "a la carte" or as part of the "premium package".

I agree on that a car in this price range, cruise control should be standard equipment.

Actually, in CA ADM (Additional Dealer Markup) is more likely than not. Of the four SF bay area dealers, I think 3 typically charge ADM.

I think the only CA dealer that sells at MSRP is Long Beach MINI.

This is okay if you're looking to buy something off a dealers lot. But if you custom order as most of us do, you won't need to worry about the financing for a month or two.

Here's a whole thread dedicated to the CA dealer markups: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=39267

As I've said before in various places, don't buy your MINI at a dealer that charges more than MSRP. You can buy your MINI at any dealer, and have it serviced at your local dealer. Any dealer that marks up thinks that you need them more than they need you. This is not the case. They need customers to stay in business. It's not worth paying an extra $1,000-$3,000 just to save yourself a ### mile drive. (insert random number)

That's an old thread, so unless you read through it all, many of those dealers aren't charging anything over MSRP now. They might be on Clubmans, but not the Coopers. I bought from Mini of Mountain View and paid MSRP.

I've been on the internets too long. I was trying to parse mfsw and I couldn't figure out anything past the mf part until I opened the thread.

thanks. mountainview is asking over msrp on the clubman, but most everyone else in the bay and LA areas are at msrp with some differences in doc fees. south atlanta and princeton, nj both came in a few hundred below msrp, but not enough to warrant flying and driving back.

Cruise control standard on Clubman?

Cruise control does not come standard. It is available for $250.00 as part of the Multi-function steering wheel (cruise control on the right side and audio controls on the left side of the steering wheel) or part of the Convenience package not the Premium package as previously posted. Premium package for 2008 models includes panoramic sunroof, automatic A/C (climate control) and Hi-Fi 10-speaker stereo.
