Campaign to get the new MINI Wienermobile!
Motoringfile posted a link to a Good Morning American piece on the new MINI Cooper S Wienermobile - many will love this, some will think it's an abomination - I understand that. For those who are lovers... let's try to get it to Fontana!!!!

If anyone has any contacts at Kraft Foods brand marketing, please let them know about MOTD!!!
UPDATE: we found the "official" contact point for Wienermobile scheduling requests - and have contacted them. Stay tuned - we'll let you know if additional support can help our cause!

I think part of the issue may be that you have to tell them your age and the subject you are writing about before you get to the form. Try this:

I just sent and email and it seems to have gone through okay.

The Red Bull MINIs showed up on Sunday morning as we were leaving last year. It would be awesome to have them and the Wienermobile both there.
EDIT: Sent another email to Kraft just a few minutes ago, and it has already bounced. This company sure doesn't want people to contact them.

Well now I feel left out..
I wanted to bring one of our company vehicles to this years MOTD but I was told that it would not be appreciated since it was a
symbol of commercialism and that MOTD was to remain grassroots.
I wasn't going to bring it as a symbol of commercialism, but merely for it being a MINI Cooper and very cool looking in my opinion.
I guess hot dogs and liquid speed are more in the grassroots category.

Oh my goodness! That is way too cool! Please bring it to the Dragon - it would be awesome!

Hmmm, my never bounced, it's seems to have gone through fine. I wonder what is happening for others?

Are you going to this page http://www.kraft.com/Contacts/contact-us.html and selecting "General Inquiries" ?

FWIW, last year the Red Bull MINIs showed up Sunday morning as folks were leaving. They weren't there during MOTD Thursday-Saturday. I can see the comercialism vs grassroots concern, and hadn't thought about that aspect of it until now. Maybe all three could just 'show up' Sunday?

I think any MINI, whether it's advertising anything or not, is cool. I think MINIs as advertising vehicles are VERY cool... and are a testament to the success of our favorite car brand... and if MINIs weren't a commercial success themselves, then there would be plenty of cabins at Fontana... and well, if someone is so weak-minded that they robotically buy anything they see advertised on a MINI... they should seek counseling... otherwise I see no problems having MINIs that are decorated with product ads show up at a MINI festival that is celebrating the success of all things MINI. Geesh. It's not like I'm suggesting we turn it into "The Oscar Mayer 6th Annual Wienermobiles (and some MINIs) on the Dragon"...
I think anyone who is so wrapped around the axle regarding "commercialism" needs to move to a non-capitalist country... or at a minimum immediately cease enjoying the benefits of anything that is derived by "commercial" means...but that's just my personal opinion...
But none of this really matters, because Kraft doesn't want my email, apparently.

I think it would be cool to have all three of them lined up for a photo-op.

Not to be the nay-sayer here, but they want to miss an opportunity to directly market to an willing consumers, then so be it. I'm not going to the Dragon to buy hotdogs...
However, if they'd like to support some events with funding, that'd be cool.
Cabriopilot, you should bring the plane!

I think MOTD left the "grass roots" stage a few years back. The sheer size of the event has made that happen. If Oscar Meyer, Red Bull and Delta want to show off their corporate tributes to the MINI, let 'em come.
That Delta MINI is cool, although on the Dragon you'd have to be careful with the wings taking out some of the crotch rockets who lean over the line on the turns.

Delta, Red Bull, Oscar Meyer - BRING IT! It adds to the event to have you there. If Mark needs a vendor fee to set up at Fontana, fine - that's certainly not a big deal compared to the publicity.
Commercialism be damned - we're paying admission, vendors are paying/contributing to be there so it's already a commercial venture.

What about the TN HP running radar and here comes this big weenie mobile...?
WAIT A MINUTE... I think I just had one of those epiphanies...
What if we get a car that looks like a giant doughnut and have it drive through the Dragon ahead of us leading all the TN HP on a wild doughnut chase?
Does anyone know if Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Doughnuts have some sort of car like this?
