My MINI One

Sorry i havent been on in a while, what with work and college etc

i just thought id fill you in on the whole MINI story

in september time i started to look for a chili red MINI ONE

on Bavarian MINI Belfasts website in the cherished "minis coming soon" section was what would turn out to be my car

here are the cherished pics

it was fairly basic but had the essentials

Salt Pack
Air Con
6 CD changer
15" 8 Spoke Alloy Wheels

when i got the car home it looked like this

i then proceeded to put clear side indicator lenses in, i think these help a lot

the next few pieces were of the chrome variety, these included

bootlid handle

Cooper exhaust trim

Chrome front grille

I then fitted a set of chili red mirror caps

off the mini2 classifieds i got a set of 17" S Spokes with dunlop runflats

then the latest thing ive done has been the fitment of Cooper S sills

more to come in the coming months

thanks for looking!

Looks like a great Mini! Living in NI gives you a chance to drive some great roads too! I spent some time in NI in Lisburn and Belfast in the late 80's early 90's. Loved it despite what was going on at the time... We were part of a NI Kids program back then. Made some great friends and saw some fantastic sites. Someday I plan to make that trek again...

Your MINI looks great. I put the "S" side sills on my '03 MC, (CR/W), and I also cheated and put "S" side repeater grills on. I think the red "S" looks good with the CR paint.

In a few parts of the world their MINI lineup would be, MINI One, One D (Diesel), Cooper, Cooper Convertible, Cooper S, Cooper S Convertible, or something similar to that, unlike how in the United States our base model MINI would be a Cooper, their base model would be a MINI One, basically if I remember correctly it's just a MINI with a smaller engine, just a stripped down Cooper basically with a smaller engine.

Very nice. Your exterior mods are in good taste and not over the top.

Thanks everyone.

The MINI ONE has the same engine as the 115bhp cooper only is is tuned down to 90 BHP. The bluefin remap that is popular for ONE owners would give me a 33bhp increase for only £300

chpsk8 I live in Banbridge which isnt too far away from Lisburn, only around 10 mins.

Alpha motoring the badge on the back window is the dealer sticker where i bought the mini out of, Bavarian MINI

I believe the MINI One engine is the same as the Cooper, just detuned by the ECU to, I think 90 hp.

I thought I had heard the MINI ONE has a 1.4 L engine instead of the 1.6L in the base US version.

it was in a forest park, the water was great fun driving through it

The salt pack was a £250 on the MINI ONE

it gave you

Front fog lights
Rev counter
Carpet mats
Front Seat map pockets
Interior Lights Pack
Height Adjustable Passenger Seat

right well not a lots happened to my car in a while

I got leather gaitors for the gear lever and handbrake in black with red stitching

I got the rear spoiler fitted and painted

next thing was a facelift cubby box to go between the downtubes

Next was to replace the original rear lights with the MINI accessory lights with clear indicator section

Halo sidelights also fitted

still to do is a 3 spoke steering wheel, sports seats and chrome line interior
