It makes a difference that can be measured via the T-MAP sensor.

How often are you supposed to clean it? And if you have a catch can does it lessen the time between cleaning?

I pulled mine at 15K miles and sprayed brake cleaner all through it. I got about a tablespoon of oil out. The ducting into and out of the IC were very clean. I blew air through it for quiet a while and let it sit vertically and drain, but when I put it back on, there was obviously still some brake cleaner in it which is chlorinated. I made some phosgene smoke for a while until the IC got hot and vaporized all the solvent inside it.

I'll probably pull it and clean it again at about 30K, just to check since it is so easy to do. Time after that will when I go deeper and check the oil in the water pump end of the SC.

That's good info except for using Simple Green on rubber. I've had it eat the rubber buttons on an Enduro computer on my dirt bike. It's know on dirt bike forums as a rubber eater. It takes a few years to eat through.
