Need to get some install info on installing a OEM roof rack on a mcs 2003. Theres no info on where the holes need to be drilled.

 

The installation kit that you have to purchase has the templates in it. From my understanding the holes need to be nearly perfect and the templates very carefully placed.

 

I have everything They just don't tell you where the templates need to exactly be placed

 

Have you installed the rack yet? I attempted to install a Yakima rack and found that I would lose use of my sunroof! Please give me an update.

Husband had his OEM racks installed at the dealer and no problems with the sunroof. The dealer had to send Phred across the street to a conveniently located body shop to get the holes drilled, then back to the dealer for the install. Took 'em about four hours. LOTS of $ labor, racks less than $200.

Did you get any information / get the racks installed? I've been looking around and haven't been able to find any info on the install (great step by step for the r56) I'm wondering if you can DIY. LB Mini just quoted me 725 for labor to install plus 199 for the racks.
