Has Anyone Seen This?

a friend of mine told me about a show he'd seen on the science channel on which two Coopers were launched over 300 feet. Ridiculous.

Cool video. The second launch look awesome and the first group needs to take a crash course in Aerodynamics and Physics 101

Impressive. I would have reduced weight and added wings.

Yeah I watched it on the episode.. They gutted those poor lil mini coopers.
:( They were supposed to actually have it land safely.. needlessly to say that both teams lost in that dept.
One of the guys on the team with the red mini was injured as they were setting the car up on the ramp. We were in shock lol to watch those poor poor poor did i mention poor minis, get launched

A failed rocket doesn't have much to do with physics or aerodynamics when it doesn't even ignite.

combustion usually falls in the department of chemistry and pyrotechnics. occassionally it is poor engineering.

I think the destruction of these two MINIs has made the value of the rest of ours rise slightly. The more rare they are, the more they are worth.

It's still a waste though.

did anyone get the duration on the 2nd flight? it was over 1,320 feet right? did I hear their estimated terminal velocity was about 250mph?

might have been the fastest Mini quarter mile EVER!

(I did wince, but heck the movie Italian Job used 32 in total if I recall correctly)
