We just bought our first Mini, a 2004 Pepper White S. I notice that other Mini's have mesh on their rear bumpers, however, ours looks like this:

Why the difference?

It's a sticker that came with the Aero kit. I personally think it looks better without it...

 

As JASMCS points out, 1) you have an Aerokit bumper -- so that's going to make yours different than 95% of the MINIs out there.
And 2) yours doesn't have the "mesh" decal on it, which I agree you are better off without (and will make you different from 4.5% of the remaining MINIs)

Edit - by the way, if you do want to break up the bumper and get the decals, some of the vendors have some nice ones -- for example:

Funny most people don't realize it's a decal it's THAT good, it's cool that there are some custom options, IMO it needs something there, but that's just me. Congrats on owning the Aero kit and not knowing it, which should mean you didn't pay any extra for it! Here's my rear



IMO this should be black with silver dots not silver with black dots to be more in keeping with the front aero kit style

I think that is the JCW logo on the left.

 

I was walking to work this morning, and saw a PW MCS just like the OP's.. was walking on Sansome St in san fran. Looked amazing!

 

Has anyone had good luck getting the Aero kit color-matched aftermarket? The factory does a great job, but I was wondering if anyone had it done post-delivery.

 

Nope - some kind of dealer or other sticker - no JCW logo on the back of this one...
