Anyone considering a caravan to MOTD from the Bham area? Last year we met in Trussville, and that was a nice trip with folks from Mobile and Louisiana.

Car84 will be headed up on Thursday; that's the plan anyway. I hate to miss the Weds fun, but such is life. Is anyone interested in driving up together, leaving our area on Thurs am?

Fiance Busta J and I will both be taking our cars to MOTD for the first time ever. Kinda sudden decision, but we may be moving away before next years and wanted to make sure we did a Dragon run before we did.

We are leaving late thursday night and probably stopping in 'nooga overnight. Then getting there on Friday in time for 10 am devils triangle run.

I would love to, but I am going up early Wednesday morning and joining AGRANGER in Chattanooga for the Twisty/Scenic run up from Cleveland to the Dragon. I have to leave again after lunch again on Friday, (Dang work again. I don't know why they just don't play college baseball on the week or weekend of the Dragon. NCAA awtta contact me before they make their schedule out for baseball each year.) Anyway staying in Topaco, so hope to see you all up there this year. COOP is getting all new MODS this year for the Dragon. Can't wait to test them out.

If we leave Slidell, LA at 5am (best we can do) we will get Trussville, AL at about 930am. Including a lunch stop, that puts us in Fontana about 2pm.

 

Which would be 3pm, EST?

I'm willing to wait till 930 (CST) to meet up and leave Trussville. And I'm fine with not driving the Dragon on the way in, if that saves time. At least I won't have to leave at 5 am (ouch!)

 

Sounds like a plan. The route we took last year (at Sweetwater right on 68, then left on 411, right on 72) included the Dragon.

 

according to yucca the aforementioned route is the quickest way. im not leaving until friday. kind of put off (to say the least) by the tenn. police problem. i guess well see.

 

Last year people were griping about it, hence my flexible approach (pardon the pun).

 

Griping about that route? You get to do a dragon run. But, any route into Fontana is probably fun.

 

Well I am going to meet the bunch in Chattanooga on wednesday to do that run up from Cleveland. So I am looking forward to seeing a new way up. Will let you know if its worth the extra time.
PS: Well orthomini, looks like I gonna miss you this year, I am having to come back friday after lunch. Have a safe trip up.

 

Somebody was. I Remain in favor of the dragon way in, which I lobbied for last year, but some concerns were that it's a shorter trip in otherwise.

It looks like, at present, that dchautin & I are going to meet Louispup at the Waffle House in Trussville at 0930 Thursday morning. We should be in Fontana by 2ish. I hope that works for you. The more the merrier.

You all have a blast on the way up. I am so looking forward going up on Wednesday with some of the chattanooga bunch leaving from Cleveland, TN.
