SIRIUS Radio question

This has probably been answered on here a million times...but I can't find it. I have a 2003 Mini S with a Harmon Kardon Radio. Can I have a portable sirius radio installed that will work with the HK radio? Such as the Sirius Sportster 4/5?

If you have a later 2003, you should be able to get an AUX input installed for it (it did work in my Feb'03 delivery GBMINI#2) - the cable is about $40 from the dealership, then you can connect the Sirius unit to that.

For early MINIs, there are a few aftermarket AUX solutions that would do the same. Or you could try the less-than-perfect FM re-transmit from the Sirius, if it supports it.

I can probebly help with this. Yes GB is correct in that the best solution is to get the aux in. It used to be called the ipod in...b4 the advent of the ipod cable. Next best way to get it is to use a sirius fm-da25. This is a wired fm mod. But now its using fm and does not sound as good. Last choice if wire less fm mod. There will be one in and sirius dock and play. But they stink.

Get the aux in. Thats what I have and it works great. My only suggestion on that is that the dealer installes it in the glove box. A bad place for it. Since it takes up room. I would prefer to just hide it away or put it on the parcel shelf.
