You Must Check Out Our New Website!

After literally weeks of effort and hard work from Rick Gonzales, our new website is up and running. So call the neighbors, get the kids and cancel the paper for the all new, very much improved and highly entertaining:

www.MINI5280.org

- See why others have said that the new website has changed their life.
- Experience for yourself the info packed club calendar.
- You'll laugh, you'll cry and you will love the past newsletter section.
- Be the first on your block to read news from the Announcements.
- See stunning photos of your current club officers and find useful links to club approved sites.

also checkout the Cafepress link to our new club swag area. You can't be the first to purchase a MINI5280 club item (I was), nor will you be the last but you now have a place to find all your club clothing and miscellaneous club items.

Enjoy and please feel free to lavish Rick with praise!

Chuck

Looks very nice. Lots of great effort into a clean and useful design.

Are there plans to add photo albums of the 07 events and drives?

Your welcome to pick my event photos up as needed or desired.

Don

The site looks nice. From the amount of cars in the photos from some of your events it looks like you have a fairly large group of Mini's in your area. Would be neat to see that many in one place!

Thanks for the kudos. I tried to keep it clean and simple (no user login account needed), but it will get some "mods" soon. Things like photo albums (not just links to personal albums), favorite motoring routes (maps) and breaking news. If you haven't already, you can update (or add) your Frappr photo, comment, etc. Your feedback on both the club site and the Cafepress stuff is useful. Note that Frappr and the countdown timer to MITM require a "Flash Player," which is an add-on from Adobe.com to your web browser.

Lavish Praise

Rick, thanks for hooking Jim up with the 5280 sticker at Schomp.

The new website is VERY nice . It's clean and easy to navigate, someone put a lot of thought into it ...

We are planning on the Coopers @ Copper event in August. What kind of volunteering do you need? You can email us ...

Jim says you're all a nice group of people and probably don't bite , hope to meet you soon.

Wendy

ps. Any recomendation on where to window tint in the N Denver, Broomfield, Westminster area?

I member page with info and personal webpage link would be a ton of work, but cool.

Sending in my membership info and payment next week.

You're too kind (and we don't bite, except at breakfast/lunch/dinner get-togethers). Glad you like our new web. Keep watching for the occassional "mod." Yes! We'll need all the volunteers we can get for MINIs in the Mountains (Aug. 6-10) in Copper Mtn. As the sponsoring club, we're relying on our members, as in 2006 and 2007, to lend a hand welcoming fellow MINI folks from the rest of the US. Watch the MINI5280 website and forums for more info going forward.

As for tinting, I'm in the SW area. You may want to do a search of previous MINI5280 forum threads, using the button right under the NAM heading on the right. Or create a new one.

JohnJohn--Thanks for the MINI5280 website kudos. There are no plans for a page with personal info (a touchy subject). Instead, we encourage our members to join NAM and set their personal info (if any) there. It's worked well for years. The MINI5280 web does have links to members' personal photo albums depicting various club get-togethers in the "Past Events" section. Take a look!
Rick
p.s. Your site http://www.5280driver.com/ is pretty cool too!

Thanks for the background. Once I get some more photos taken, I'll have a decent flickr account to link too.

The 5280driver thing is too funny. Last year I was working with a customer who owns a limousine/car service in Denver. I was searching for a URL to build his website on. I picked up 4-5 different Denver/driving based URLs. This is one of them he didn't choose. Worked perfect for my Mini blog. :D

Let me know if the site ever need a free place to park anything, or needs development help. The site looks great!
