Congrats to Indigo03

Just joined the NAM Alliance and the first benefit (after a new Avatar and title) was perusing through the inaugural issue of the NAM Alliance Online Magazine. And who should grace the first issue with a profile of his hot little Cooper but Indigo03. Nice write up and nice pictures. Congratulations Jon for making the big time!

Congrats Jon. It couldn't have happend to a nicer guy or more modiified Mini. After reading the list of mod's I think the only original component left on your car is the frame. (and I'm not sure about that)

Thanks guys. I was really excited and honored that Mark wanted to do a feature on my car. Only wish it could have waited until the new interior was done, the car looks sooooo much better now.

I think they did a great job with the Alliance magazine.

I've said many times that 03Indigo is my favorite Justacooper. I think a lots of other folks do, or will soon, feel the same way.

(shhh... nobody tell Maybee I said that.)

Congrats - can't wait to see the new interior. Gonna be hard to top the old one.

That's OK Blimey, the only way I could beat Indigo03 is to take up needle and thread. Then someone would have to come by and cut my stitched hand from the headliner. Lucky for me my vert doesn't have a headliner!
CR&PW&JB - you win the numbers game, but the details have to go to Indigo! I still am not brave enough to buy a JB though.

Come on, Chuck !! You know what they say...

You buy Jet Black and you never go back !

I'm going to enter the MINI Car Show at MOTD with Dr Evil. We'll see how many swirls and scratches OctaneGuy finds in the paint and then we'll see just how OCD I am then.

I'm waffling on the car show. Blimey qualifies for Mad Modder... and there are SOOOO many more awesome totally over-the-top cars in that category... it would be a humbling experience... I enjoy being a big fish in my (relatively) small pond around these parts... hehe

Just do it. At the worst you walk away with some praise from the spectators and possibly competitors. It's not like it is embarrassing to loose. I lost to a Ford pick-up for gawd sake. Oops, TMI.

Ahhhhhhh... Blimey has a competitive nature !!

Meh, I'm just entering to show off my aesthetic mods a bit. I don't really care much about winning, even though if I do win anything I'll throw a party in my cabin and if I don't I'll throw a little tantrum. Boy, I'm glad I'm not competitive !!

I'm not the competitive type. Until I am. Then it's game on.

The story of my life:
1) Select a new sport / hobby / car / occupation / etc. because it is cool and esoteric.
2) Become best at whatever that is in my local peer group.
3) "Graduate" up to a bigger pond.
4) Get stomped.
5) Go to step 1.

You should have seen me in our local scavenger hunt rally last year. Tied another team and beat myself up for weeks over the wrong turn that I took that would have won it...

I'm planning to lead a drive on Friday that overlaps with the front half of the show time... but might reconsider... (I wish they had scheduled it on Saturday, which is a worse driving day... oh, well).

Oh Carp... this thread was supposed to be about 03Indigo...

Jon did set the bar high for the Magazines Featured MINI but any one of ya'll can also be featured. Send a few pics and a little about your MINI to editor@northamericanmotoring.com and if you are chosen a full year of Alliance Membership is yours.

When I saw the article I was so proud that it was "one of us"! I immediately yelled to Nick to come check it out. We were both impressed.

Congrats on your new fame, Jon! Now don't let it go to your head.

Thanks Heather. Credit goes to you guys for helping me keep the car in perfect condition. now I am gonna have to figure out how to keep alcantara or micro suede clean ,

Drive the car today, got it the dirtiest is has EVER been in the 5 years I have owned it...I am so ready for spring, and a serious spring cleaning. I will be coming to visit you all this month to take advantage of the calendar discount.

and no, this is not going to my head...although, with all the wonderful comments I get on the new interior, it might

For your alcantara, seal it with 303 Fabric Guard. It seals and protects it without changing it at all. You can dump a glass of water on it after treating it with 303 FB and the water just rolls off the seat. Prevention is where it's at with those seats!

Of course, we are waiting on a big order from 303 and until then do not have any of this magical Fabric Guard in stock! 303 makes us buy a TON at a time so we had to wait for some spring sales revenue to come in before we could place the big order. We should have it here within 2 weeks now though.

If we are out of anything in March and you (or anyone, for that matter!) want to use your 15% off NAM calendar coupon, just let us know and we can make a note to allow the 15% off the item when it comes in.

-Heather
