Hello to Mini Carolina drivers
Hello to Mini Carolina drivers
Just saying hello. My name is John, I'm in Columbia SC. Finally purchased about a month ago after being hot for a MINI for a couple years. After a few false starts on buying, finally had the straw break the camels back when my brother and his wife were purchasing and I had to get in on the fun too!
I had a very good transaction with Charleston MINI, nice folks.
Ours will be a daily driver but also considering autocross and of course many scenic trips to the curvy mountain roads.
I'm an avid motorcyclist and it was really interesting to hit the familiar roads in the NC mountains on four wheels. In fact we decided to go two weekends in a row it was so much fun. The sig pic below is from HWY 276 near BRP.
So anyway, hello to all and here's to motoring fun...

Welcome!!! I'm a new MCS owner as well as of 2/16/08. Unfortunately, I've been down with the flu the past week, so not much driving. Got mine from Flow MINI in Winston-Salem. Overall it was a pretty good transaction - for a new car purchase. My wife and I just get a kick out of the games played at dealerships.
Like yours, mine will be a daily driver. That's part of why I got it - for the gas mileage. Looking forward to letting it enjoy some twisties on the weekends (even long weekends on occasion).

Congradulations! Hope you would both be interested in joining our club. We had a chapter in Raleigh but it is really hard to keep them going without a dealership in town. As for trialstech we got you covered in Columbia, SC. We also have chapters in Greenville and Asheville. There is not to many weekends that some one doesn't have something planned. I too drive mine daily and still keep it half way clean. You are more than welcome to sit in our quarterly meeting March 15th in Columbia and eat with us afterwards. Luke, Prez, m2c2.org

Room for one more welcome? Mine's also a DD, I have a Tacoma, but it just sits now. ;-) You'll have a blast with the car and these guys, both in cyberspace and in real life. Looking forward to meeting you both...
