Seems to be a bit sophmoric to me. "Oh, it's pronounced fooken" they say. Oh, that makes it OK.

Do we really need this? Yes, I can vote with my dollar, but I don't like my nephews who also surf this site seeing this as a demo of what is 'appropriate'.

Yes

KUDOS!

That "F'n" car shine ad should be removed! I'm sensitive and hate to laugh so please remove it before I start weeping.

Typically advertisements like these use hooks like a stupid name to hide the quality issues.

Sales usually fall off fairly quick for products, regardless of their names, that don't have "decent" quality.

Well, I'm not that tightly wound... I just have a better vocabulary, most of the time. It just seemed tacky and juvenille to me. I'm not sure how many NAM'ers young'ins also surf the site. But it is the internet...

I guess it's like the hot sauce market. They don't worry about the product, just the funniest label / name.

I have mixed feelings about this as well and can understand the different opinions on this. I'm going to make sure that the vendor is aware of this feedback and invite him post in this thread.

Thanks. It's not a huge deal considering what goes on in some threads, it's just that its very visible as a banner ad...

The only place I've seen this to date is in the vendor announcements on the home page. If you click through to it you see an image in their post. Is this what you are referring to as a banner? The reason I ask is that I mention banners as those images displayed at the top of the forums and in certain areas of the site. We don't display them within actual posts so I wanted to make sure I was seeing the same thing you are.

Thanks!

Mark

Yeah I love threads like this. I have no idea what vendor you're talking about, but now I'm on a hunt to find this elusive F'in ad. LOL. Refresh a couple dozen times, nope don't see it.

Searching the Vendor Directory
https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/vendor.php

Nope don't see it here either.

Who are we talking about??? lol

We're going to remove the announcement based on your feedback. We just played off of the product name. I apologize for any ill will this has caused.

Best,

Hahaha, they do sort of go "hand in hand" though huh?? Maybe they could be grouped together!

No offense and no ill will! I don't think it would matter if it's in your page or catalog, I just thought it was in a pretty high profile place for what it was, kid exposure wise. Thanks for caring!

Mark, I'd edit the title of this thread if I could. I meant to put qoutes around the letter F and the in to be clear I was refering to the ad not cursing it. In retrospect I'd leave the F and in out completely and edit it to be more generic if I could.

Please feel free to edit the thread title as you see approriate. At least I got everyone to go review all the ads!

not nearly as offensive to good sense and proper decorum as the 'F1 tested' and 'patent pending' claims some other vendors like to throw around'. mountains something something molehills
