At MINI of Omaha my MA Steve let me check out a Clubman that one of his customers had ordered in. He had three come in but this customer gave him permission to let people sit in it, they had five total show up. He mentioned that they have a Hot Chocolate Clubman S coming in at the end of this month that people could check out and test drive as long as no one puts a deposit on it first cause they were only allotted 84 Clubmans this year. Get a hold of him if you want to check out one, I love the back doors.

 

Saw a couple of them too this past weekend. They definitely have a lot of leg room! I kinda like the split doors too, although the paint scheme around the tail lights is still too funky for my taste.

Btw, the rumor mill is really heating up on the all wheel drive mini, and it looks like it will show up not on the Clubman, but the regular minis. Now that is an interesting idea.

 

Took a little trip to Denver last weekend. Went to see some of my buddies in 5280 and attended the Clubman reveal at the dealership there. Took a Clubman S in blue out for a spin. Pretty spunky car. Makes it really hard to decide which one I am going to JCW up next year. Clubman JCW would just be so sick. But then if you are going that far for the performance maybe just go straight JCW. Time will tell.

 

The MINI Center here had a little event with a show and tell as well as one for test drives. Its not bad at all and the weight difference isnt as much a you would think. I really believe its one of those that will have to grow on you and once we see a few on the road it wont take long.

Well I'm officially sold. I want that hot chocolate clubman. Not the automatic though.....Oh man is that MINI pretty....I really wasn't all that into the one I saw at the auto show...the red and black one...but wow that one hot chocolate with the silver roof and stripes look amazing....and the hot chocolate interior looked even better. I even got to drive it around for a little bit. it was my first time driving a new S and even though it had a auto it felt just as good as my '05 MCS. but sad to not hear that supercharger whine. So to whoever is on the fence about liking the new clubman, go see this one and it will change your mind. and am I gonna have to buy a new clubman now?...anyone wanna buy my MINI?

 

Agreed. I just got back from seeing this one, and was really impressed by the Hot Chocolate/silver roof combo.

The Hot Chocolate cloth/leather interior I think is nicer than what I've seen of the Hot Chocolate Lounge leather option. Definitely stop by to see this one, or any Clubman. It's one of those cars that looks so much better in person, than any pictures I've seen of it.

 

I love the hot chocolate color. I think It's available for all MINI's this year.
