Cooper Bumper Valence to Cooper S

Couldn't get a firm answer through searching, so...

Any of you guys know whether the regular Cooper lower valence, as shown here:

...is a "drop-in" replacement for the bumper valence (with the center outlets) for the Cooper S, here?

I've finally decided on an exhaust design, and I need to confirm this last fact. I think it is part #51127112153 (for the Cooper). The actual bumper cover ends up being ~$240, whereas the valence is only ~$25. I would also prefer to stay with the original Cooper S bumper.

Thanks.

- Matt

Yes it is...

but you have to get the lower rear wheel arches as well, as the Cooper black plastic isn't as "low" as the Cooper S peice.

Groovy, thanks.

Now...time to ditch ~30lbs from my exhaust and gain about 4-7hp.

Yay.

That's correct, and for compatibility the parts you order should be for a pre-2005 Cooper. The S and Cooper black pieces were compatible up to 2004, not after. The Cooper bumper and black trim were redesigned at the 2005 model refresh.

You will need the 3 rear valance parts of a 2004 MC, the MCS valance are wider, that's why you need the 3 parts
