Checkmate Edition cars -- options to remove the checkerboard fender

I've found a good deal on a 2006 MCS checkerboard - the wife doesn't like the checkerboard on the rear part of the fender. Is that part of the fender removable so I could get a factory painted part - I'd hate to be forced to sand down and paint over the checkerboard.

You should be able to peel the Checkmate decals right off the fender, but if you really want to replace it, it is removable by itself.

For resale reasons I'd rather just replace the complete part and not remove the orginal decal.

Thanks for the help.

Yes, for resale and original value leave the checkmate a-panels alone and pick up some from here or ebay or www.pelicanparts.com you can find the part number at www.realoem.com
Have fun with the checkmate...wish my 04' was a real checkmate...(I've got the checkered panels)

If you want to remove it and just get another decal to be able to put back on , THIS just got posted in the Market place section.

Thanks for the info guys. But in real life the car looks great. Pictures don't work for it. But the Wife and I like the checkmate.
