H&R Rear Sway Bar Setting

Ths evening I installed a 19mm H & R rear sway bar. I installed it on the stiffest setting? Has anyone played with these adjustment on the H & R bar, and which works best for a stock suspension with front STB?

Sorry, no experience with that just yet. But I was curious about the install. Was it difficult? How long did it take? Any special tools required?

Thanks in a advance-

J

It went well, a lot easier than the exhaust! No special tools, took about 2 hours total. The harderst part was getting the subframe back into place after getting the old bar out, and new bar in. No rattles!!

nice. i just had an ireland 22mm installed and cannot handle the rattles and i think it's just too much for my usage. i think i will get the h&r and sell the ireland. my fault chalk it up to experience. thanks for the info very helpful.

i would drive it and see how you like it in regards to the setting. for everyday use i would probably set it to the medium setting though until i got used to it.

I just installed a H&R 19mm on my S and have it set to the firmest setting, the hole closest to the front of the car. I don't think it's too extreme. I have been able to rotate the rear by unloading it mid turn, but it didn't break very hard and was easliy controllable with a little throttle.

I've had the same H&R Bar on my MC for about 2 years, and have never moved it out of the softest setting, which is still much firmer than stock. No complaints.

thanks to the OP. i installed my H&R bar today on the stiffest setting. awesome bar! and also very importantly- NO rattles, no creaks, no squeaks! loving it! best 2 mods so far may have been this bar and ditching the runflats .

I just got an h&r and it's on the stiffest setting. Works great and no squeaks or rattles. Even for street use, I think the stiff setting is fine. I noticed a difference but it wasn't dramatic. Definately more "gocart-like"
