What are the true performance numbers for JCW?

When doing the build on the Mini USA site the JCW performance kit for the 08 MCS only raised horsepower by 17 to maybe 189 and torque from from 177 to 185.

Yet I just read a test by an automotive site that said the MCS with JCW brought the car to 210 hp.

Is that wrong? Wouldn't be the first time a journalist had the facts wrong but that seems like a big difference. Actually it is a huge difference.

210 in incorrect.192 is the corrrect quoted HP spec.

From Motoringfile.com
The JCW Engine kit takes the 2007 MCS from 175bhp to 192bhp. But more importantly it increases torque to as much as 200lbf-ft with the over-boost function. To put that in perspective, that’s more than the JCW GP had. Also better than the GP (and all previous JCW kits) is the throttle response. The ECU tuning sharpens the already faster throttle tip-in (with sport button on of course) to even higher levels.

210 hp is the FACTORY installed JCW kit that will be available in 2009. The DEALER installed JCW that's available now is around 189.

Keep in mind that BMW/MINI is notorious for understating performance figures though, so the actual number is probably closer to 200 according to some of the folks who have had their R56 JCW cars dyno'ed.

Does anyone have a JCW stage 1 on the dyno yet? I'm planning on buying that kit real soon, and would like to see the real numbers
