H-sport camber plates... two designs???

Okay, I've had a few upgrades sitting in boxes in my garage for months now. The SPC rear control arms and the SS resonator delete pipe.

I've been kinda waiting to purchase the camber plates before I take a day to put everything on at once, so the alignment can be done at the same time.

Anyway, I've been researching a bit on the different camber plates available (again) and I'm certain that I don't want anything that will lift the front of the car. I also don't want anything noisy or with a history of failure (IE).

I don't want a fixed plate because I want the ability to dial in the camber on each side. That said, I've read great things about the Hsport version, and though pricey I think they are the ticket.

Anyway, while looking at pricing on different sites, I've come across two different sets of images attached the to same part by description.

which is what I had seen before. I'm also running into this:

http://www.coasttocoastusa.com/zenca...products_id=39

both of these seem to have the same upper spring perches. Is this just confusion on the part of some vendors? I've seen both sets of images used at multiple sites.

So, if there are two different H-sport plates what is the difference?

I believe the coast-to-coast is the older version and mini-madness shows the newer version.

I agree with IanF. I have the new design H-Sport (Hotchkis) and it is the Mini-Madness picture.

Ian is correct. I bought a pair of the old style used and have yet to put them on... I'm thinking I may upgrade to the newer versions.

So is there a preferred vendor of the new-style plates?

The Hotchkis site shows the same one the Madness site shows, the Competition Plates. JSC Speed is an authorized retailer for Hotchkis and they show the same pic from Madness as well. The only time I've seen the Coast to Coast pic is for Sport Plates...never seen those for a MINI though...

Whoever has the lower price!?

JSC, Helix, Madness, Tire Rack, Webb are all "authorized"...doesn't mean you shouldn't get them from Coast to Coast or customminishop though...both of which carry them.

I suggest Mini-Madness for price and customer service.

I got mine from JSC Speed 2 years ago for $435 shipped. Great customer service and they had the best price around at the time. I think they are in the $600's now on their site, but call and verify, you might be surprised.
