I was searching Google Images for a line drawing of a MINI, and this was one of the results for some reason.

Man, that brings back the memories from the early years here on NAM/MCO....that was a big hit amongst the threads.

Oh I haven't seen that in a while - too funny! It believe it came out in 02' shortly after the first MINIs were delivered. I have 2 copies in my Collectibles notebook.

NAM does not encourage street racing or illegal activities.

- Just thought I'd throw in the disclaimer for kicks. That's one demerit against Bat Boy.

That's really neat! Is there a place that one can perhaps purchase back issues?

I was wondering about that. too... A framed copy of the paper would be a great item for a MINI fan.

Most of those "print on demand" places won't do something obviously copyrighted, and that even has the WWN logo on it... Zazzle is the highest-quality shirt place I've yet found, but I'm sure they'd refuse to do this (which I can honestly understand).

Just get the T-shirt transfer sheets, mirror the image and print it to make your own.

I've used those and they fall off or crack after a few washings. Not a good solution for anything but a single-use novelty thing. One of these days I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy a shirt printing setup.

Maybe contacting the rag mag itself and see if they keeps back issues that old?

you may not want to address the correspondence to "Dear rag mag,"

Kara just found out that WWN is no longer in print... I'll mock something up on Zazzle and see if they nix it out of hand. Sometimes they're OK with skirting the line under the right circumstances. With WWN no longer publishing, they probably wouldn't actively pursue violations of their copyright, and since MINI actually PAID WWN to run this as a promo (or so I hear), I doubt that MINI would object to its use.

This reminds me of college when we had a wall dedicated to Bat Boy in our dorm room.

Now I just need to find an image of the ENTIRE front page - the second lead story beneath the fold was "Saddam Challenges Bush To Duel" - I want that on there, too! So far the only version I've found was teensy (only 118 pixels tall - too small for me to resize for printing, even with Genuine Fractals).

Thanks. Yes, I contacted the editor about back issues. I'll let you know if/what their reply is.

They still have an address? Maybe they're not out of biz after all. Let me know what they say!
