Anyone sell or trade an 07?

Wondering what 07's are going for used...specifically Cooper S. If you've sold or traded yours, please post your car's specs and what you got for it if you don't mind sharing.

Thanks,
Mike

It all depends on your part of the country and what the demand is. A good place to start is Kelley Blue Book. At cars.com you can see other Minis for sale in your area and get a good idea how much you might be able to ask for it. You're selling your Mini?

Kelley Blue Book gives inflated values. Try Edmunds and see what used MINIs are available. This will give you the truest pricing. Edmunds is optimized for by regions. My dealer here in the Seattle area asks a premium for all used MINIs. I traded my 03S in April 07 and the dealer asked 4K more than my trade. To be fair he put new wheels and tires on the car.

I've never had much luck trusting those sites. Cars.com only shows what people are asking, not what was successfully negotiated.

I have this sick obsession with the Altima Coupe that's starting to win the fight. I think the only thing that's going to save my MINI is how upside-down I am on it since it'll only be a year old in Feb.

I know that feeling, once you see another car you like, it just bugs you and bugs you until you either get it or get it out of your mind!

Yunno, I find that when ever I get a bug for a new car, I go out and rent that car for a week or so. Most times, I get tired of it and pass on buying. I'm afraid that they're going to have to tear this Mini away from my cold dead hands!

I look forward to each and every drive in it and don't seem to tire of driving it.

The only other cars I want are out of my price range so I know I am stuck with my MCS for a while (not that I am tired of it). I already told my GF when she is out of nursing school WE are buying a Z4 M coupe as her daily driver. ; )

I looked long and hard at different cars and the MINI took the cake every time for the money I was willing to spend (cars up to $30K).

Same here. Although I'm honestly loving my MINI so much that I can't imagine getting rid of it. Perhaps I'll eventually buy a (currently out of my price range) second vehicle though.

I don't know what used 07's are selling for around here, but before I bought my 07, I looked around for a used 06. The prices that I found for these were more than a new one would cost, so I bought a new one. I looked at a used 06 with 20K miles and the dealer wanted 26K. I bought my 07 for less than that.

Have you driven an Altima before. Such a boring mid size car to be cant see how two doors are going to fix the dullness. Just weird to me Mini and Altima are far from comparable cars. I guess they both have French engines

I was torn with the New 1 series BMW coupe of course. Everyone thinks its so great but my MINI is only 10 months old so the dilema persisted. I borrowed one (135i) from the local dealer here in Germany. I drove the crap out of the car. 1 week later I happily handed back the keys and decided the MINI was so much more fun. I cant imagine selling the COOPER, I agree cold dead hands is what it'll take

Never fear folks, the insanity has passed. Just needed a nice warm day to go whip machbox around some corners and an appointment made to take care of some nit picks with the car. Doesn't sound like anyone has any numbers anyway.

this is the dilemma i had when i decided i wanted a mini. you can buy a new one for about the price you can get used one. it may have +/- a few options.
but hey, new or used either way you are getting a "luxury" hatchback... that handles!

I got mine back in Aug - even then the used Mini's were over priced - I really do believe those days are gone or will soon be gone. I will be interested in what the 07's really bring...

Just did a search for the USA on kbb.com for any used 07 Mini... got back 150 with the highest being 28K and then dropping to 23K... and bottom price is at 21K

Funny enough, I was getting my oil changed a couple of weeks ago when I walked over to the BMW used car sales. On the lot they had a '04 330i with the performance package and only 23K miles... took it off the lot for a spin.
Price was right but there is something about the MINI that has me hooked....

I am really itching for a second car, turning my MINI into my weekend toy.

I absolutely agree with this guy. I have gone in to dealerships thinking I could get KBB only to be disappointed. edmunds.com is much more accurate and allows you to budget better.
