My MINI Story
Hey everyone whats going on. figured i let everyone know my mini story.
I live in st pete FL and we ordered a 08 mcs with prem,sprt,convien, and cold weather packages. and also the xenon light. the car is astro black.
so we ordered it form ferman mini and it took roughly 4.5 weeks to be ordered and delivered. when we ordered, our salesman told us the finance rate would be 4.9% as long as we could qualify. the total price of the car was 28.6K A few days before it was to arrive we went in and finished all the paperwork "we were getting married and didnt want to fuss with it" the day before we got it, the salesman called and said there was an error with the finance %. he told us that the 4.9 was for the 07's only and not the 08's. so I asked him what the new rate was and they said it 5.7 the next thing i asked was how much difference was the finace charge at the end of the loan gonna be. he couldnt answer until he talked with the finance mgr. He called us back and said the difference would be about 1600 bucks. At this point we were kinda ticked off and our wedding was only a day off so we didnt know what to do. we had all our paperwork completed. there was also an error on the contract, it stated the car was an 07 and not an 08. so they offered us 500 off the price of the car. we said no way. we countered and then basically came to the agreement of the final car price being 1300 less and they threw in tinting all the windows. we probably could have fought them on the contract but with the wedding and all we figured we still got a pretty good deal, seeing how we will be paying it off in a couple of years anyways.

We live in Sarasota and Ferman was logically our first choice for a dealer. We had the same type of problem with them regarding misinformation during our vehicle search. We ended up buying in Ft. Lauderdale. I must tell you though that Ferman's service dept is possibly the finest of any auto dealer I have ever dealt with. Enjoy your Mini !!!
