Hey guys just picked up my 07 MSC over the weekend. Sold a fully modded Audi TT that had around 300 hp and cannot get over how much MORE fun this thing is than the Audi.

I did not get the sport package so the first thing I need to do is find me some black 17s for her. Thinking the new Team Dynamics. Already made arrangements to get the JCW engine upgrade. Even though I scored a great deal on the lease I am still going to do it, mightend up buying it out at the end anyway...

Thanks guys, I will post some pics when it isnt so freaking freezing out there. Its silver with black bonnet strips and a black top. Got the Moonroof package, but need to get wheels real soon :-) Anyone the best place to get Team Dynamics at a good price? Any info is greatly appreciated. I am also second guessing getting the JCW engine package since its a lease, but I drove one and I cant look back :-)

 

Hi, Alex! Another *new* NJ owner here! We picked up Lesley (07 MCSa, Chili Red/White) on Wednesday & then I got to drive home in the snow on Thursday! I'm coming off an Infiniti FX35 that I loved, but the Mini is sure helping me get over it quickly.
From where did you lease? I bought from Prestige Mini in Mahwah.

I got it from the same place Prestige Mini, I live in Bergen County. Got a super deal on a lease problem is I already have the mod bug...always have :-)

congrats on the purchase i've had my MINI about 6 months now and i still love it.

i know outmotoring.com has team dynamics wheels not sure if it's the ones you want. not sure if this is a good price or not, have really looked around. here is a set of TD black rims with a polished lip for $199 a piece

People's Republic of NJ sounds very njrereport to me, unless it's such a commonly held belief in the state! I go by Prestige every day, so I may see your silver Mini around, Alex, maybe at the car wash. I love that perk!

 

Well, I am in real estate (general counsel to a home builder), but the People's Republic comment comes not from the njrereport but from my view that NJ disregards private property rights in favor of preserving open space, affordable housing rules and oppressive zoning. Don't even get me started on the tax structure in this state!

Cool beans. Tho I live in the Hudson Valley, I spend many days and nights in a town just a few minutes from Prestige.
If you head over to the relevant local forum here on NAM you'll see a few threads for a buncha people who do mods, etc and get together for said purpose almost every weekend. The location is about 45-50 minutes from Prestige. jeffc is the guy you wanna talk to, should you be interested

Get the JCW kit if you've been tainted by driving a MINI with it. We drove a JCW MINI at Prestige before we ended up ordering one at MINI of Fairfield County (best price, best freebies, best MA (Mark Smith), and everything done over the net). If you don't get the kit, you'll always be second-guessing yourself. It's an awesome addition to an awesome machine.

 

Totally agree, its just that the car is a lease. I knew I should have just bought it. I figure if I do it then I can either buy it outright when the lease is up OR use it as a bargaining chip/credit when I get an newer Mini. I dunno, just thinking...

 

In my town we have restrictions on cable and telephone company options, so I call our little area Soviet New Jersey.
