Please post pics of your FACTORY Aero Kit MCS!

I should be getting my MCS soon with the factory Aerokit, not the JCW kit...I wanna see all those people out there that have the factory Aerokit as well!

This thread is to create awareness of how cool the factory aerokit really looks Plus this way i'm hoping we can consolidate all the pics of the different color combos with it and even with painted and unpainted arches. So lets try and keep this just pics of the aerokit, not a crapload of filler and off topic stuff? If that doesn't work out, oh well lol.

Ok well no one replied, but here's a pic of MY car with the factory Aerokit. I'll be ordering a spare set of arches from Classic Mini in the spring to paint so I can see if I like them painted or not. I think with the BRG the black arches don't look all that bad actually...

Yeah, that isn't exactly adding anything to this thread. Go start another thread somewhere about hating the factory Aerokit, there are already a few floating around. But for those of us that have it, we got it because we like it. So this is just a thread for fellow Aerokit people to show their cars off...or to show off other cars they've seen with the Aerokit. Hopefully so others can get a better idea of what it looks like, and make a more informed decision about getting the option or not. I have nothing against the JCW Body Kit, I just like the Aerokit better that's all...It's like candy bars, I love Mars and Snickers, but I like Snickers better, but I don't go around bashing mars bars and berating people for buying Mars bars when they could buy Snickers instead.

I bought my MINI off the lot and it had the Aerokit. If I ordered I probably wouldn't have ordered the kit. Since I have the aero kit it has grown on me and the regular MINI's look, well, regular. To each his own. I like the kit and don't mind spending the money for it. There are other options I would not spend money on but I wouldn't insult the people who got them.

Lol, if you couldn't tell, I was eating a snickers bar when i was writing that hehe.

The factory Aerokit definetly grows on you. Either way I think it looks a million times better in person than it does in the configurator. Every time I go to the dealer for something or just to check things out and I park next to a Mini without one, I realize again how much I like it better than one without it. The only thing they need to rethink is the fender flares, they should def. be painted to match. On darker colors it doesn't look so bad, but on lighter colors they look that much better with them painted.

I agree with that. I think the Factory Aero kit looks better on the darker colors. However, seeing the Laser Blue above - that looks pretty sweet too...

My laser blue is getting the fender flares painted this week. Once complete, I will post up pics.

There are some "extras" that you get with the Hypersport package, but we'll keep those our little secret

Here's mine right after the painted arch install at Way Motor Works. A ton of new stuff has been done to the car since this picture, but it's still not finished, so I'll hold off posting the new pics until then

Painted Arches

I just ordered a R56 S. One thing that bugs me about the standard body is the unpainted arches. In the mini configurator they now show the arches as being painted on the 09 model. Does anyone know if this is true? If not is it a big deal to have them painted?? (ie how many $$) Here is the setup from the configurator.

Here's mine. I picked up my baby (no name yet) 2 weeks ago. My dealer said it was the first one they had seen with the new "all one color" aero kit:

Hyper Sport Aero kit looks better in person. And it grows on you, even the unpainted arches. I think the unpainted arches give the MINI character.

If you want to get any pieces of trim painted (JCW aero kit, standard MINI trim, etc.) check out www.minspeed.net
talk to Peter he is a great guy and has prices listed on his website. Quite a few folks on here have used him and he matches all the factory colors perfectly. He will be doing my 2009 AB JCW kit when it arrives in Oct.

Finally painted my arches and my stripes instead of vinyl, will be posting pics soon...have to get to work painting and documenting painting Mini*In*Flux's JCW kit for her. That'll be a new thread to show the whole process from start to finish.

Any pics of the factory aero kit on an MC, not MCS...or is that taboo?
