Pulley Install

I am intersted in installing a 15% pulley into my 04 MCS. Where is the best place to have this done in or near birmingham and what is the average cost of the pulley plus labor?

Stephen did the pulley install on my '03, Big Al, and I think the cost was about $150, but I brought the pulley to him. He has also done other non-warranty work. I have great confidence in the quality of his work. Give him a call.

Stephen is the only local that I know of who is experienced. Speed South in Pelham has been doing some track work on one of our local MINIS but I do not know if they have done any pulley installs. My pulley was installed by Waylen of Way Motor Works at the Dragon last year. They have done hundreds (or more) of MINI pulley installs & they have now opened a shop in Atlanta. I think I paid around $350 to Waylen for the pulley, colder plugs, & the installation

As much as I always recommend Stephen here in Birmingham, I'd take a day and drive over to Atlanta and have Waylen do it simply because guys that have done it a lot have a very quick procedure and lots of experience doing this specific thing.

But for any regular maintenance or repairs in Birmingham, Stephen is the guy to go to and I wouldn't trust anyone else in town to touch our MINI's

I just did the install myself. I took about 3 hours. Only because I took my time. It was not difficult..just time consuming. If you have any mechanical ability at all just do it yourself and save the money.
