Just how limited are the mini's and mini S. One dealer told me 15k a year for the US and that's it. "the factory is working 24/7 and they have no plans to expand. Another dealer told me they started the production at 15k then 20k this year, then 25k for next year. Does anyone have accurate info about this. How many S models, how many std models in the US per year? I rather like the idea of less than 20k mini S cars running about. I heard they were always going to be limited production!!

I don't know exact numbers, but I do know that the plant can probably only do X amount per month. As far as what percentage the US gets out of the world-wide distribution, I imagine they can raise or lower the number at will. But that's only a guess.

There was a huge article on this in a BMW mag.

They do work 24/7 (3 shifts).

If I remember right, it was more like 23,750 for the USA every year. Which is fine with me
