Suspension H-Sport control arm group buy?? possibilities?
Is there a vendor out there selling H-sport control arms willing to set up a group buy? If so, and on the other side of the coin, are there any people out there who are wanting to get in on one?
Bump!

I'll be the first to respond. I would be interested in the H-sport control arms and also the H-sport springs. I would like to see a group buy with the springs and arms together.

Great! We're getting the interest for the buy. Now we need a dealer to make the offer. Anyone interested?
>> I'm interested in H-Sport springs, but can someone please tell me what H-Sport control arms are good for and why I need them please? Thanks<<<
When you lower the car it changes the camber pretty good on the rear wheels. You need the control arms to adjust both the camber and toe-in to a more street friendly setting. You can get away with just replacing the bottom ones but you won't be able to adjust the toe-in (though it won't be off by much)
The reason I want the H-sport is that the way they're designed you'll be able to put a bracket on the upper one to mount the sensor that's there.

Being realistic, I doubt a group buy is going to happen.
1) the h-sport stuff is real popular and they are selling all the product they can make without a group buy.
2) group buys can be a big hassle - just ask anyone involve in the sway bar group buy.
3) you most likely would have to pay in advance an have a special production run because of the numbers necessary to have this make sense.

Thanks for your input Dave.
The first point you mention is certainly the most valid. I thought one of the vendors might take a profit cut to ensure the sale of "X" amount of sets, rather than lose some of those sales to competitors. It could also possibly be a springboard for sales of other items. People responding here are already mentioning springs and swaybars. Not only that, but positive comments to other people by people who buy your product and like your service has never hurt a business!
The second point is just a fact of life. All things involving more than one person don't always go smoothly. Sometimes you have a hassle, sometimes you don't. I don't know the particulars of the swaybar buy you referred to, so I can't say anything about it.
Lastly, the "pay in advance" is an obvious point. I would be more than happy to pay in advance as long as whoever did it could guarantee delivery in a reasonable time (say 3 or 4 weeks) I wouldn't expect someone to do something like this on just promises. I own my own business and have seen how well that works sometimes.
The old saying "money talks, bull**** walks" is true words of wisdom.
Honestly, even if someone makes the offer, I don't know if enough people will respond to see it through, but all things have to start somewhere. So here's the start. Let's see how the ball rolls. There's 5 people interested here. I haven't mentioned this on Mini2 (though it looks like someone has or has the same idea). I was going to wait to see if a vendor would initially respond and how the response was here before I started on that site. If no vendor steps up then there's no point in carrying it further.
