Cooper Font?

Howdy, folks

Does anyone know what font is used for the word "COOPER" on the back of the mini? Also, bold, italics, other features of it?

my alma mater is Cooper Union and i want to machine a "union" to go underneath my "cooper" - but i'm terrible at guessing fonts, and don't really have a large selection to begin with.

Any TC people or web aficionados or print people know for sure?

thanks!

I downloaded them from somewhere but I'm having a senior moment. I'll let you know if I remember.

Pull off the 'cooper' letters and get some other font to stick your phrase with so they match.

ITC Tabula Italic (Bold) is pretty close, based on the Identifont search.

The more I look at the letters COOPER, the more I see the differences from the letters on the MINI. Little nuances, but different.

Expressway Semi Bold Italic is another possibility. Very close.

None will match but many will be close. The lettering in Cooper is an ink-cut font, in other words it's custom.

No car maker would ever use a prior-art font, especially on the car itself.

Not completely true...the work MINI is Helvetica or if you Dare Arial...

True. Its a "word logo", and being unique is how they can successfully trademark it.

Sometimes you can find something close and sometimes you can use a combination of different fonts to achieve a reasonable look-a-like.
