R53 Cooper S JCW GP SIDE/TANK TRIM PIECE/CARGO ROD.

howdy

Has anyone been able to buy these parts w/o having a VIN number from one of the 2000 2008 JCW GP's being made available? I can see the parts break down and part numbers but can not order them. I understand that mini wants to keep the exclusivity but I want this. ANy ideas?

At the very least the carrier, tank trip panel and the Cover, tank trim panel would be nice.

Thanks team.

I looked into this and I found that no GP owner I spoke with wanted to let me copy theirs. I was just going to get an extra set of interior panels and do something up custom but I have not had a chance yet. I have just decided to keep the seats in as I like the Blue Leather in the back of my car.

They only made the GP for 2006 and only 415 made.

Coen you live in Holland and your lucky because US dealers are tight necks when it comes to GP stuff.

Are we talking about the interior rear side panels? If so I would love to get my hands on some. I pulled my rear seat last year, and have decided to leave it that way & keep the car for a long time. I want to get rid of the rear seatbelts this spring, and this would be a great solution.

GP Rear Interior Questions

Okay, so the only thing better than a well done rear seat delete (in my humble opinion) is the full GP set up. I've come to understand that these parts can be purchased, but Holy God they're expensive. Without really finding good pictures can someone answer a couple questions...

What was the total cost for anyone brave enough to do this?

Is it really worth it? I guess that depends on taste and the answer to the previous question some...

The cargo rod is over $750 on RealOEM. I cannot figure how it mounts and/or what it mounts to, but does this function in a upper strut bar-like capacity? Is it usable as a harness bar? And really, what was the intent originally?

Finally, I know its cool. It looks amazing. But am I dropping a 401K on some extra compartments and a bit cleaner looking install?

I'd really appreciate insight, opinions and pictures. Thanks a lot.

R53 Cooper S JCW GP TRIM / CARGO ROD

There are posts with pictures, part numbers and cost in the GP forum about doing this conversion.

Go here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-interior.html

Hope this helps...
