I have scanned the web and found many...
Mini-Mania
Turner Motorsport
Alta Mini
Mini-Madness
on and on and on.

Who have you guys and gal's used with success, I am looking for a one stop shop as much as possible. Turner motorsport seems cool, straightforward. Many differant ideas, header or no, headwork or no. Some claim to beat the "works kit on h.p. without modifying the head and no headers!? Let's face it even dyno numbers are highly subjective.

Who do you trust :???:

It depends on where you are and what you want done, East of the Mississippi, I would say your best bet would be Helix, if you are further west, Randy is your man. Eric @ Helix is a straight shooter and is the only person that I will let touch my car for mods. If you are just looking for parts, most of the vendors will price match.

X2 has it right, however I prefer Randy's dedication, who else has traveled across America to enrich more enthusists? He does top-notch work and has no ties, he tests all equipment and only offers what has outperformed all others.

I'll second this. Randy has done tons for us MINI Motoring Enthusiasts nationwide. But if you're looking for a more "local" shop who also does a lot of testing and even designs many of their own products (like their Cooper exhaust which was rated NO. 1 by one of the mags), look no further than Helix Minisports in Philly. Eric owned the SECOND MINI in the US - he imported it BEFORE it went for sale here. Therefore, he's been working on the MINI longer than anyone. He is very knowledgeable and does loads of testing and product developing - he's just a bit more quiet about it and therefore you don't hear about all that stuff. But it's going on....trust me!

just to correct something posted earlier. there is a dash in the url.

mini-motorsport

I would totally agree that randy has gone to the greatest lengths to help customers out around the country: Denver, Florida, Ohio, Dallas, SoCal, NorCal. There are other places lining up. I haven't seen anyone else travel like that. Nor has anyone installed nearly as many pulleys (i'd be willing to bet). He must be approaching 100 pulley installations.

on the East coast it's gotta be Eric Savage of Helix in Philly. He and Randy probably know more about Mini's than any two people in the world.

This sounds like it's becoming an East coast West coast thing. We all know that east will not drive west for mods or vice versa. They both must be pretty good or there would be no mention of either of them. I have met Randy personally and give him much credit, but it dosn't mean that Eric isn't any good. We all know that location and quality are the key. So if you're on eastern standurd time go to Helix.
Everyone else, go to Mini-Motorsport (Randy-Mini guru)

I was Randy's 110th pulley install!
I had mine done on Fri. @ the SoCal pulley party.
He had about 15 more to do that weekend.
He's now probably up to somewhere between 130 and 140...

If you like Death Row Records (Tupac), go with Randy. If you like Bad Boy Entertainment (Notorious B.I.G.), go with Helix.
