Rear Seat Deleted='MINI' Loveseat for living room.

I deleted my rear seat 18 months ago; removed all seat belts and latches as I was not planning on using the rear seats any longer. With the rear seats taking up room in my spare room, I thought to myself why not make use of them. Therefor, I created a nice and simple 'MINI' Loveseat.

You can see some low qualitly pics(cell phone) of the project in my 'MINI' Loveseat album. I'll try to use a real digital cam to post some higher resolution pics! BTW the frame was made out of scrap lumber I had lying around my yard too!

Jeremy

PS: I plan on making 2 end tables out of my 4 stock 17" by 7" S-lites capped with 18-20" diameter glass.

Yeah a couple buddies of mine made tables out of the OZ wheels from the Audi P1 cars (pre diesel) at Sebring. They waited until like 4 in the morning outside the Audi tent and one of the mechanics came up and asked if they wanted anything. They said yes and he came out with 4 of the wheels that they used in the race . I as so pissed I wasn't there .

Three more-slightly higher resolution-photos added to my 'MINI' Loveseat gallery. Enjoy!

You're right but I have a great girlfriend though! She even helped me with the fabric covering of the seat frame.

Now I know what to do with the racing tires I winter in the dinning room. .

Great pics in gallery. Maybe you could add some low watt lights under the wheels for night driving.

That end table is AMAZING!
You really need to send that in to Ready Made magazine!

Very nice work Jeremy. I have to say that is the only way I'd ever get in the back seat of a MINI.

Nice use for the boat anchors too.

Yes the S-lites may are close to being indestructible BUT they are indeed only good for anchoring a plump boat! A MINI on a reduced diet is a good good thing. My MINI's diet was nice for my living room to boot!

That looks soooo cool! We just did the RSD on my car, so I might have to consider making something like that. You can always use extra seating right?

I'd throw some cold cathodes or led's under the spokes to give it glow ...
