It's not that I have anything against snow, it's that I bought her in November and detailed it twice in the first week. Now I can't take her out and it's killing me.
Best I can do (besides complain to you folks about it) is keep buying necessary accessories for her and spend my time on NAM.
BTW Indigo, one of those accessoriess was a leather wheel cover from Minspeed. I went to TandyLeather last week, and decided that doing it myself would turn into one of my famous projects. You know, like the utility sink thats still sitting in the garage under my workbench.
They seemed to have the best quality I could find online. Thanks anyway for the offer to help.
The Snoball Run sounds like a great first event, assuming I don't make to a Jim's Burger Haven lunch first. I've put it on my calendar and wil sign up as we get closer. Hopefully, it's a Top Down Day...

No garage queen here. I've got 550 miles on my MCS since last Saturday (only giving her Christmas Day off). Managed to take the family to the Red Wings/Avalanche game last night to really get her boot dirty!
My only handling complaints right now don't have anything to do with the weather, but the 17" OEM all-season runflats do not ride well on grooved highways -- constantly shifting me from side-to-side in a most disconcerting manner. I intend to store these wheels once things warm up, so I'm not overly concerned long-term.
I should probably make an appearance or two in the detailing forum to see what the best way is to give my baby a bath and prep her for the hard life of a Front Range daily-driver.

Snow? Ice? No problem
OvrEasy just shuts down the DSC, and keeps on motoring. He IS the daily driver. Handles/stops better than the 4x4 thats parked in the driveway!. Case in point---Dec 26 icy, snowpacked, work is 13 mi East of me @I-70 & Pecos. Get on I-70@ Ward. Go 1/4 mile. 6 SUV/4x4/Texans/Califorin's vehicles facing upside down, sideways and facing west (remember we are headed EAST). Ovr and pilot made it to work in 25 mins(normal is 20). Just remember, the car is built in England, owned by Germans and tested in the Alps.
You guys are missing the point. It's not about driving in the snow. It's about keeping the newly detailed Mini out of the slog, slush, dirt, spray and the worst of the worst magchloride. Call her a garage queen if you must, but she's a damn shiny garage queen!
