Do note that
the ride will begin and end at the Denver Zoo. Sunday is the LAST night for the Zoo Lights, and we will be returning between 5 and 6 just as they turn them on.
If you cannot make the ride, join us at that time and we can enjoy the lights together.
Feel free to call my cell late in the afternoon and we can give you a return ETA.

If it's something like the "GorillaPod", I think I've seem them at Best Buy. You might also try Wolf Camera (serveral Denver locations). Are you planning to place your camera somewhere in the MINI, like on the dashboard? Just curious.
Tripod? How big and heavy are you willing to go? Need something light weight? CF? Collapsible to fit in a purse? Budget(almost always rules out the CF
)? I've got a "GorillaPod" as part of my support arsenal, it's gotten some great photos, but also doesn't see a whole lot of use. I can also recommend about a half dozen car mounts if this is a MINI geared project. (they can also be used on any glass surface, allowed me to get some pretty good interior shots for relative trying to sell a small New England home, as I could put the camera on the window in the corner and show the space better)
Yea, the gorilla pod is what I was looking for. I'll check Best Buy. I'd like to try and put the camera right on the back of my rear view mirror. (yep, it's for Gloria) It's an Olympus Stylus 800. Thanks!
Sorry guys, much as we'd love to we're fresh in from a hectic week of travel. I need a vacation now that I'm back from vacation... that's never good.
Have fun without us and enjoy those lights. We'll see you at the January meeting.
p.s. the car is awfully filthy, so I'd hafta get washed anyhow. More chores on top of what already needs be done. <sigh>

Ah shucks...
If we were snow bound in Colo. Springs & really really wanted to come but didn't make the ride, can we still get the cool magnet?
(the guy on the left looks a lot like me this morning).
I shovelled 3.5" of wet snow that fell between from 6:00 - 9:00AM!
Hope everyone that made it had a good time!

It was great, nice drive in the snow. Good lunch too.
We got snow too. You all missed a great drive with lots of great people. We even had a Mini Cooper up front setting the pace with JPS.
See my picasa link for pics. Here is a sample, if your mouse is broken.
Someone please try to right click and save a picture while in my picasa album and let me know if it allows you to save. Send a pm, thanks. Don
