Chrome.... the Aero look was cool when I first saw it, now I think it looks cheaper...

Depends on the entire theme of your car. It looks great like this:

 

Chrome all the way. the front chrome grille is a MINI Hallmark. The front of this car is the most beautiful aspect of the overall design and the chrome helps enhance it. It makes the car looks classy and expensive as well.

I like the front chrome grille so much that I will be ordering a 3 slat Cooper S chrome grille for my '04 MCS ($96.00 extra). I much prefer it over the stock body colored grille.

The aero grille is nice, but not in the same league.

 

Ok well my car has the clear sides and clear tails and it is CR/W. You think the chrome will look good on this? Ill post a pic...

 

I think it will still look great. Remember that you currently have a very sporty look and the chrome affords the more expensive and sophisticated look...is that the direction you intend to go?

 

def aero for me. chrome looks too "cute" and "happy face"

No I didnt intend to change anything but the grille from what I currently have....so your saying it wont match?

 

But chrome is classy and makes the car looks expensive. My fav design feature.

Yeah, I just feel it really is part of the whole look that makes it a MINI.

There are plenty of CR/W coopers such as yours with the Sport Package and the stock factory chrome. They still look great.

Well said. This is one of the reasons I like the look of the MC over the MCS.

However I also think it's really dependent on color combination. The aero grille looks fantastic with red, silver, dark silver, or black. But in the end for my money it's chrome all the way. All MHO of course

I'm just pleased to see that MINI made the chrome grille available in the US finally.
