Dealer screw up on wheels

Hey, I posted this tech question in the wheel and tire section, but wanted to see if I might be able to get some help and answers to my questions a little faster over here. Here is the link to it:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=123453

For a brief summary, I'm trying to figure out if the wheel sensors on a 2007 17" Crown Spoke (rubber stem) would be switchable to a metal stem from my other 2007 16" Bridge Spokes. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Your rubber stem wheels do not have any sensors at all, and that's the issue. Not sure if the sensors from the metal stem wheels will fit into the rubber stem rims, you would have to take one tire off to find out.

Yes, the early /mid / 07 r56 build Mini did not have indivudal pressure sensors. It relied on a RPM input from each wheel to determine if you had a problem or not. So you should be safe.

Thanks for the help. I called the dealer again, and a fellow customer is wanting to do the same thing so we'll see how it turns out.

Are you sure about that?
If it used the old ABS tire rotation rate as a sensor, it wouldn't keep triggering, right? I thought all R56 had the new TPMS...
