FTM and new Winter Rims

I am getting a set of 195/55/16 Michelin's X ice put on some rims. My question is, do I need a sensor for the FTM, or is that only needed on the new TPMS cars. I have an R56 MCS. I forgot to mention it to the shop about the FTM, I just told them what size I wanted, and only briefly mentioned it was for a Mini.
Thanks

Flat Tire Monitor? is that wat FTM stands for? werd. but yah, you
will need the TPMS transmitters on the R56's from wat i read if you dont
want the error light regardless of tire.

Yeah...FTM, but near the end of the 07' line, they came out with the TPMS system, so I'm wondering if with the FTM system, is there a sensor on the wheel?
