Thanks Rick!

Tonight the members of MINI5280 met to elect new officers and to pass on the gavel for the next two years. That announcement will come from the current officers but in the meantime.....

The members of MINI5280.org want to take this occasion to thank the outgoing President, Rick Gonzales, for his hard and consciencious work over the last two years. Rick has presided over the club during an important growth period that included more events than ever and two successful years with MITM MINIs in the Mountains.

Please take a moment to show your appreciation for Rick and his work with a short post.

Thanks,

Jonathan Souza
Past President

Job well done Rick!

Thanks to Wendy as well for letting Rick play so often, & at times, so far away (MOTD-5)! We also appreciate that you welcomed us into your beautiful home last night for the meeting!

Great people, driving great cars great places, having great times together, making great friendships, creating great memories!

Happy Holidays!

Mike (& Sarah)

My thanks go to Rick as well. He was really my first contact with MINI5280 and I've enjoyed many fine, diverse conversations with him since. Both Rick and Wendy are extremely nice people as well as MINI enthusiasts and really made us feel welcome. So thanks for that. I really hope the two of them can patch things up enough to be navigator & pilot again for next year's Yalla Yalla - forgive & forget, it was a hard course and it was snowing.
Thanks again Rick for a stellar Presidency!

I picked up my Molly on a day when the MINI5280 was having a monthly meeting at Ralph Schomp (Oct 2007). I was instantly impressed that MINI car owners' enthusiasm and proud to be a part of this group. Thank you Rick for being the president for the past two years and I am looking forward to actively participate in those meetings.

Rick, great job and it was nice meeting you this past spring in Greeley, that was our first MINI5280 function which was sponsored by Schomp. It is great having nice poeple in the group and fun events.

Looking forward to many more MINI runs with you and the others.

Sorry I missed the meeting down South.

I imagine someone will post the new club officers and the next formal events. You have done a great job keeping us all up to date.

Rick,
you da man.

Thanks so much for all of your work, organizing and patience. You've helped make the club a lot of fun. I've enjoyed working on events with you. No disappearing now!

I have only been in the club for a year now, but in that time Rick has done his part as President to keep the club running and everyone on the same page. For that you have my thanks. You're always up for a good run, and aren't afraid to race Camaros with me; I'm glad to see that you never forgot why we're a club to begin with.

Shannon, don't worry about him disappearing; I don't think that we could get rid of him if we tried; not that we want to.

Thanks Rick for everything you've ever done for us!

Although I am not active in the club, not even a paying member anymore, I do read all the goings on in the forums here. Kudos to Rick for all his efforts!!!

Aww shucks...

You're all too kind! Ever since the first club meeting I attended (at Randy Webb's new garage a few years ago), it's been fun and exciting to meet other MINI nuts like myself. Each short or long drive, whether it was on the track, in another state or just across town for breakfast, the common denominator was having all kinds of fun with other like-minded and not-so-like-minded folks. I'm proud to have been a part of this club's recent history. Don't worry Shannon, I'm not going anywhere -- just on more rides, road trips, and whatever else MINI5280 and other clubs (and MINI USA) come up with. I am fortunate to be able to count on the help of numerous club members and other MINI enthusiasts near and far. Thanks!

Thanks Rick!

I've only been a member since October of this year but even in that short time I have appreciated Rick's hard work and dedication.
Thank you Rick for all you've done.
I look forward to lots of outings with the club and seeing you there!!

Thanks!

We have only been able to make a few events since joining, but we always have a great time. Thanks Rick for all your hard work and response to all my questions! Hope to talk with you more in the future.

Thanks Rick!

We are very sad to see you go! You did such an excellent job as president.

You made it easy and fun for DP to be a supporter/sponsor. Believe it or not, that is not often the case with other clubs we work with.

We really appreciated all you did for us as prez and for the club in general.

Thankyou. I'm not going far. Just from the President's position to the Treasurer's position. I'll still be heavily involved in all things MINI and MINI5280!
