So my wife's mini was born on the forth of July! Also happens to be her Dad's birthday. I'm trying to convince her that she needs the American flag on the roof now, but it's not working. I have a few questions for everyone though. Where can I get a magnetic roof US flag to have the dealer put on before we get there to surprise her? Also how long does it take to get the car here (Mini of Peabody Mass) once it is "waiting transportation" It has been produce and it waiting for a boat ride now. I am figuring a week on the boat, a week to get from the boat to the dealer and then to us, and possibly a week to wait for the boat. Does 3 weeks sound about right to go from "waiting transportation" to "happily motoring". We are both eagerly awaiting the arival. especially since her current car has issues. The registration expired last month, but we are going to transfer it so it's been renewed, but her honda is in the falling apart stage, and it's muffler just started to go and the radiator is leaking a bit. It is also a few months late on inspection, but she's been carrying around the estimate form honda for $1000 to fix it and got pulled over and they let her go when she showed it to them and explained her new car is "in the mail".

Anywhay, where can I get a magnetic flag, and how long from "waiting transport" to driving it ourselves?

By the way... We are both VERY EXCITED to get the car. I have a wrx and I know we will be both itching to drive the new cooper... Now to name it...

A sign company may be able to print an American flag, but I don't think a magnet would conform well to the roof contours. Anyway, there have been reports of problems with magnetic stipes discoloring paint when left in place for more than a day. Perhaps there are other options?

OK this it whatit said when I tracked it, so is it on the tokyo highway or the Carmen?

Hope this means it's getting closer...

there are 2 different lines with my vin on it. One is on the Carmen, one on the tokyo highway, The second has a "bill of lading #" the first does not, the tokyo one has a B added to the end of the tracking number... What is the difference between these two?

Anyway it's on a boat now...
