R50/53 Texas dealerships that are mod friendly?
Hello,
I just tried calling all the Texas Mini dealerships about honering the factory warrenty after mod's, but nobody ever anwsered. So I decided to ask the real pro's. See, I am planning to get the 15% pulley and ECU (from Randy), but I still want most if not all of my warrenty. I live in Amarillo, TX, but I will be moving to Dallas within the next month. Do you know of any dealerships that are mod friendly? Like John Roberts BMW, Classic, or Moritz?

Hi Mel!
I'm not sure if I can answer your question. The only MINI dealer I know in TX is Momentum MINI in Houston. I do not have any mode experience with them, but I do know they do sell some aftermarket items such as BMP intake, and supersprint exhaust, so at least with respect to those I would expect some leniency. I would also expect that with a pulley mod, you would have warranty problems at any dealership, if there is a problem with the engine.
Cheers,
M.

Go to metroplexmini.com and there is a forum regarding the pulley. One of the local guys is doing instals at his shop and could answer your questions for you. BTW metroplex MINI is a group of MINI enthusiasts in Texas (it started as DFW only but now accomadates other areas) and the website is a forum based site like his one only on a much smaller more local scale.
