Anyone Know Kyowa or Speedy Wheels

In the never ending quest to find the perfect wheel I saw wheels by these 2 companies. Speedy seems to be mfg. in Australia while I have no idea where Kyowa wheels are made. Their website is void of any infomation.

Does anyone have information on quality, workmenship etc., etc. on the wheels made by these companies?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Kyowa/MB Motoring/A-Tech(sp?) are the same I believe. Alot of the Suby guys use the 7 spoke Atech Eraser. 17x8, cheap, durable.

Speedy is a fairly reputable, but little known, company based out of Australia.

I briefly used a set of 17x7 Speedy Racemode Wheels in matte black mounted on 215/40 Falken FK452s which are now available for sale (see also my gallery).

Perhaps a bit too JDM for some, but for the money, they're hard to beat. The only reason why I'm selling them is because I want to go for a different look.

As far as quality is concerned, I haven't had any problems (mind you, they didn't see too much use during the one season I had them on).

Thanks for the info.

Nice wheels phaedrus! Good luck with the sale but I'm looking for a different style. In fact, I can't seem to make up my mind from one day to the next.

Both Kyowa & Speedy were found at www.bigwheels.net. I need to check wheel weights before I make a decision and get better information on fitting these sizes on a R56.

The models I'm interested in are the Kyowa KR 206, 228, & 316; Speedy models are Speedy Lite-5, Hi-Speed Racing & Lite-fin.

Concerns I have with some of the 17x7.5" wheels are the offsets @ 45. ET of 42 I think will work since the inner clearance ends up being the same. The 45 offset on this width wheel shows 3mm less inner clearance. I'm lowering the car with Mach V springs next Tues. and planning on running 215/45/17 Toyo T1R's. I understand the mini to be offset sensitive & I don't want to introduce tracking or bump steer issues.

If anybody can ease my mind on this it will help with my wheel decision.

We run +45 17x7.5" on our R56 S. No issues.

You shouldn't have any issues with 7.5ET42 or 45. I've run both on my R53....a little rear camber helps, but the R56 has more room so it should be ok with a 215/45/17
