I know there have been lots of threads about people waiting for their Mini's, but I figured one more wouldn't hurt.

I'm in the Air National Guard and I've been activated since March. Currently I'm stationed in Bahrain. I had placed an order for a Mini back in Nov '02, so before I left, I called my Mini Dealer (Mini of Peabody, Mass) to tell him of my situation, and that I might be gone for 6 months. He was super about the situation, and told me not to worry.

Well, as luck might have it, the same day Keith from Mini contacted me to ask for my order confirmation, was the same day I found out I'd be here for another 9 months. Again, he was super supportive and he told me that they would take care of me.

Honestly, I was bummed about having to wait for my Mini, but at the same time, I was also proud to be where I am. So, if I have to wait for my Mini to do my duty, well, I think that's a good reason to wait. I'm very lucky to work with some of the BEST men and women in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.

To all my fellow military brethren and sisters who are still out there doing their duty, God Bless and Keep Safe.

PS: Can't wait to get my loaded '04 MCS IB

Hey Spike,

America is proud of all of their sons & daughters serving overseas. I wish you the best and hope that your return will be a speedy one.

Man, I hope I'm home well before the 2005's are out, but with the military, you just never know

Spike,
Good God, you must be mad as hell. I am just over 6 months and hopefully am going home to Ramstein soon. I'm a bit further south with the War on Terror. I know what you mean about all the forces. I'm tentin up with about 30 Marines, 1 Navy, 3 Army and my 2 fellow SSgts. I really hope that the ANG is over est your return time. Bets of luck to you and keep your head up, the MINI will be there when you get back.

If you need anything at all, let me know. I can send you whatever you need. APO mail is great...FREE!

Frank
