18" Factory, all black wheels!
Most of you guys probably know about these, but after seeing them in person, I think I like em'!
Saw these on a stock height 2008 MINI at the SF Auto Show. Nice wheel gap even without lowering. I asked the folks at the booth to make sure it was not lowered. So I think I am changing my wheel order from 17"s with 205/45/17 to 18"s with 205/40/18. Maybe later when I get my coil-overs, I can drop a bit.
Sorry about the bad pic. I should have taken several with diff angles.

The R105 wheels are a $2775 option on the configurator. This a combination of MINI gouging for the wheels and gouging for the runflat tires.
If you want the R105 wheels separately (no tires), they're available individually from PelicanParts for $356 each.
Looks like they also require a steering-angle stop to keep the wheels from hitting the suspension bits.

wait... 4 forged wheels for under a grand.. plus tires??? that sounds out of this world... are you sure they are forged?

Thanks for the clarification - I just saw that realoem listed the stops as part of the 18" JCW wheel package, so I assumed they were required. Do the 18" JCW wheels come with the stops if you order them with the car?
The dealer automatically installs the stops when you get the wheels. You actually pay extra for those and unless you are friendly with the SA and Tech, they MAKE you get them installed. I am not sure about when you order your MINI with them. They probably install them at the VDC.
These black R105 rims alone from the dealer are ~$1500. You can purchase better normal tires and come in almost $1k under the OEM price with RF's and get rims that are not ~23lbs each.
I was looking to get these originally as they are really nice looking but decided to get the 18" OZ Ultraleggera's with Yokohama s.Drive tires for just a bit more than the R105 rims themselves. The OZ rims are also mat black and look quite nice on my AB R56 (will get pics posted soon).

They are the exact same ones that Palo Uber tries to sell for $1600 w/o the tires. When we found out that they just re-badge the Sport Max, we figured we'd just get the originals. We just happened to find a place here in SD (in the bad part of town) where we got a great deal. So don't hate, LOL.
Oh, and I didn't mean to imply that I got 18". They are the 17". The 003.

Yes, I am sure they are forged (its stamped right on them) and no, they aren't forged from lead.

wow, didnt realize the 003s were forged... got any pix? my only gripe is with the chrome lip... im not a huge fan of it.
In the 18" size? Where are you finding them that cheap? Come to think of it, does BBS even *make* the RGR 18" with a 4X100 bolt pattern?
TireRack has the 17" RGR for almost $550 each, although I'm sure there are cheaper places out there.
But still, the prices I'm finding for the 18" RGR are close to $650/wheel. It makes $356/wheel for the 18" MINI R105 look positively bargain-basement.
