17" S-lites Question

Any reason why I would not take a set of s-lites have them sandblasted and powder coated to the color I prefer ? Assuming the rims are true. I just see alot of s-lites for sale with varying degrees of mild road rash that look as they could be rehabed .

I have done this with my streetrods for many years. Is there any difference?

Other than the fact that they weigh 25lbs, no. Depending on location, you can likely get a set of aftermarket rims for the price of the slites + labor. Then again, I live in CA, and our labor rates are ridiculous.
